Corvynel AI Companion is a Chrome extension that works together with the Corvynel desktop app to help users connect a local code project to supported AI chat pages, insert selected project context into chats, review structured file changes returned by AI, and apply those changes safely with backups.

1. What data we handle

Depending on the feature you use, Corvynel may handle selected file paths, project tree metadata, local file contents returned by the desktop app, structured copied patch text in Clipboard Mode, user-selected path-like text in Pick From Page mode, cloud sign-in and entitlement status, and local UI preferences.

2. How data is used

We use data only to provide the core product workflow: connecting your local project to supported AI chats, building bundles, reviewing diffs, applying approved changes, restoring backups, and showing account or entitlement status.

3. What stays local

In the current implementation, project tree generation, bundle building, file reading for diff review, patch application, backup creation, and backup restore are handled locally through the Corvynel desktop app on your machine.

4. What may be sent to backend services

The desktop app may send authentication and session requests, account status requests, entitlement and plan checks, clipboard import usage consumption requests, bundle size limit checks using bundle size in bytes, and logout-related requests.

5. No sale of user data

We do not sell user data. We do not use handled data for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness, or data brokerage.

6. Retention

Some preferences and temporary workflow state may be stored locally in extension storage or in the desktop app until replaced, cleared, or removed by uninstalling the product.
